Monroe County Constable’s Association
The Monroe County Constable’s Association is a very active, and progressive organization that works very hard to provide support to the Constabulary, its members, and the communities we represent. We are dedicated to preserve the time honored Office of the Constable in Pennsylvania. A part of our mission is to help establish a more professional cadre of Constables and Deputy Constables by seeking out and soliciting for more training opportunities for Constables that are not available to Constables through the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime & Delinquency. We are a regional organization open to all Constables, Deputy Constables across the state, and the public at large. However, we are best suited to directly represent Monroe, Northampton, Lehigh, Carbon, Pike, Luzerne, and Lackawanna Counties.
Through grants and fundraising, our Association has been able to train and equip our members with Taser Devices, Nasal Naloxone Rescue kits, and first aid kits to help them prepare for challenges that may face them in the performance of their duties. In addition, we have also been able to issue our members bullet proof vests and radio equipment to help make them safer in the performance of their duties. We will continue to work hard to enhance the safety of our members going forward.
As a group of law enforcement professionals, we work hard to make a difference in and improve the communities we serve. Aside from providing assistance to the community and other law enforcement agencies from time to time, our members remain vigilant in helping to keep our neighborhoods safe. Some of the services we provide include: helping communities establish neighborhood watch programs, providing child safety id kits, and a free gun lock program; are all representations of some of the work we do to help enhance public safety and awareness within our communities.
In addition, membership with our organization means that as a Constable you will have a stronger voice to address issues within the judiciary when they arise, and also helps provide a meaningful presence and voice within the Pennsylvania legislature.
Our association has two types of membership levels: Active & Associate Membership. If you are a current Constable or Deputy Constable, you can qualify for active membership. Active membership provides voting rights, the ability to be issued equipment, and the ability to participate in training as per our organizations bylaws. For those whom are not Constables, but would like to be involved and support your Constabulary, you may join as an associate member.
