The Monroe County Constable’s Association Veterans Crisis Assistance Initiative provides short-term, emergency assistance to eligible veterans and their immediate families who are experiencing a verified crisis situation. This program is designed to address urgent needs while coordinating closely with County Veterans Affairs Offices to ensure responsible and effective support.
Emergency housing stabilization
Utility assistance
Transportation for medical, mental health, or court-related needs
Court-related or protection-related services
Temporary relocation, moving, or storage assistance
Other crisis-driven needs consistent with the Initiative’s mission
This program is intended to provide timely, targeted relief, not ongoing financial support.
Honorably discharged or otherwise eligible veterans
Immediate family members or spouses acting on behalf of an eligible veteran
Veteran status must be verified by the appropriate County Veterans Affairs Office
Geographic eligibility is limited to Monroe County or jurisdictions represented by an MCCA member Constable
How to Apply
Veterans or their spouses may apply directly, or applications may be submitted through a County Veterans Affairs Office or an MCCA member Constable.

All applications are reviewed in coordination with the appropriate County Veterans Affairs Office prior to Association consideration.
All assistance is subject to fund availability, verification of eligibility, Association policy requirements, and final approval by Monroe County Constable’s Association leadership.
